*Important Delivery Information Update* 

Due to the current global Coronavirus (Covid-19) situation and Brexit impact delivery times are being affected in certain regions, in particular those countries in Europe. We are regularly monitoring the situation to minimise any disruption and ensure any parcels that are delayed are delivered as soon as possible, in the meantime, we are still offering our Air Express service at the checkout for EU countries. We can confirm that a number of precautionary steps have already been taken by our couriers and teams to protect our people and the products and service we provide - this includes contact-free delivery, social distancing and wavering the 'sign for' on delivery procedure where the driver will sign on your behalf on receipt of goods. These measures are following the advice issued by HM Government and Public Health England (PHE).

We are currently supporting EU customers with delayed parcels and experiencing up to 3 weeks delay in certain regions as customers are being asked for customs duties and charges. Taxes, handling fees and custom charges. 

*Please note any pre-paid VAT will be refunded on arrival to the country's destination. 

Taxes are charged once the parcel has reached the destination country and these charges must be paid by the recipient of the parcel. You will also be charged a handling fee per parcel, plus any import duties local to your country. Unfortunately, we have no control over the import charges as customs policies vary by country. You can see the breakdown of VAT which is charged at the checkout. By law, we must declare all items at their full price and cannot alter this amount to decrease the International tax, handling charges and custom fees. 

Should you refuse a shipment from Olivia May, you may be liable for the original shipping charges, plus any import fees that are incurred on the package, and the cost of returning the package to Olivia May. The amount will be deducted from your refund. In the instance where the return fee would exceed the amount of the merchandise, you will not be refunded. By placing an order at Olivia May you are responsible for shipping charges, we do offer free delivery to Europe, this does not include custom import fees and the cost of return shipping back to Olivia May. This also applies to any parcels that are refused by you at delivery.

Depending on the local threshold regulations, orders are subject to duty charges. Where possible, orders may be split when falling above these amounts to avoid import tax being levied. Please not in many cases, this is unavoidable so should be considered when purchasing with us. Olivia May will not remove commercial labels to avoid such charges, customers should respect this regulation and abide by the guidance given by the local authorities.

*We aim for all orders to be dispatched the same working day if you order before 2pm Monday to Friday.

UK- All orders are dispatched free of charge using DPD Next Working Day* as default and may require a signature upon receipt of the goods. There is an additional charge for any express service and nominated Saturday delivery.

International- All international orders are dispatched free of charge *when you spend over £50 using DPD, DHL, UPS as default and will require a signature upon receipt of the goods. For orders International requesting Royal Mail there will be an additional charge for this service.

During seasonal peaks e.g. Christmas, New Year & SALE periods please allow up to 3 working days for your order to be dispatched on your designated service. Please bear in mind, at times your order may be split into separate packages.

All of our parcels are tracked at every point in its journey to you, parcels are insured throughout their journey to you. 

You will receive regular email and SMS text services including your order’s expected time and day of delivery from both Olivia May and the selected courier service. Please be aware that should you select Royal Mail service, once leaving the UK the tracking number is invalid until reaching the local postal service within your region which can then be tracked to the door.

Need an item at a specific date / time?  

Should you require your item on a specific date and time, we can arrange this when placing an order via an Express Priority service. This request can be selected at checkout and emailed as a note when processing your order. Please note there is a small charge for this service.

 

DPD | The Process

Once your order has been successfully completed and is ready to be sent you will receive an email from us confirming the successful dispatch of your parcel(s).

DPD will then contact you via email and SMS text message (if a mobile number has been provided) to confirm your 1-hour delivery window. Please note that this service is only available to UK mainland customers. DPD offer our most flexible service to UK and European customers.

If there is no response when DPD try to deliver your parcel, a card will be left giving you the option to re-arrange collection. They will re-attempt to deliver your parcel up to two times after which it may be returned to your nearest local DPD collection point, or in some cases to Olivia May.

If your assigned date/time is not convenient, you can reply to the email or SMS to rearrange a more suitable delivery option.


Please note due to courier restrictions, we are unable to ship to some areas of the UK on a next day or weekend delivery service.

Redelivered to a different address from £5.50

Pick up from your local depot at no additional cost

Collect from a DPD Collection Point

You can choose alternative options should the estimated delivery date not be suitable, these include to leave with a nominated neighbour either side or ‘in your safe place’ at your discretion. We will never leave a parcel without permission to do so. Please note that if you select this option, Olivia May and DPD does not accept responsibility for any loss or damage that may occur once it has been delivered.

If you won’t be in for your delivery or wish to collect from DPD Collection Point this can also be arranged. DPD will show your nearest location, they will contact you to let you know when it’s ready to collect and how long you have to pick up your delivery. Please note if not collected within the required timeframe, it will be sent back to the DPD depot and be returned to us.

To collect your parcel from DPD Collection Point you will need to bring:

Photo ID

Proof of Delivery information - Email, SMS from DPD

Olivia May cannot cover the cost of collections from your local depots or collection points should the receiver not be available on delivery.

 

DHL | The Process

Once your order has been completed and is ready to be sent you will receive an email from us confirming the successful dispatch of your parcel(s).

DHL will then contact you via email and/or SMS text message (if a mobile number has been provided) to confirm your delivery window. Where available, you’ll be able to selected a timed window to receive your order. DHL offer our fastest ever service to international customers. You can customise your delivery should the estimated delivery date not be suitable, you have the option to select another date within 5 working days.

If you’d prefer not to sign for your delivery, you can waiver the signature requirement. Please note that if you choose to remove this, Olivia May and DHL does not accept responsibility for the security of your order once it has been delivered and cannot be held responsible for and loss or damage that may occur.

Pick up from your local depot at no additional cost

Collect from a DHL Service Point

If on vacation - you can request DHL to hold your parcel for up to 30 Calendar days until your return and have it redelivered

If you won’t be in for your delivery, you can choose to pick this up from DHL Service Point. DHL will show your nearest   location, they’ll then contact you to let you know when it’s ready to collect and how long you have to pick up your delivery. If not collected within the timeframe, it’ll be sent back to the DHL depot and returned to us. To collect your parcel from DHL Service Point you will need to bring: Photographic ID - Passport, Driving LicensePlease note due to some courier restrictions, we are unable to ship to some remote areas of US, Canada & Worldwide on an express service. Your local area can be checked on the DHL Service Point address lookup page.

 

UPS | The Process

Once your order has been completed and is ready to be sent you will receive an email from us confirming the successful dispatch of your parcel(s).

UPS will then confirm using the email and/or SMS text message provided to confirm your delivery window. Where available, you'll be sent a timed window to receive your order. UPS offer a door to door delivery service for worldwide customers so you can expect our most premium service. Your parcel will arrive by UPS and is not handed to any third party couriers. You can customise your delivery should the date not be suitable, you have th option to collect from a local depot. 

Olivia May are able to collect delivery VAT, custom charges, duties and handling fees digitally ensuring this is the smoothest delivery option for most customers. We advise our EU customers to select this option at the checkout. 

Not Going to be in?

Pick up your parcel from a local business at no additional cost

Redirect your parcel using UPS Access Point location before first delivery attempt is made (UPS My choice Membership required) 

Reschedule your delivery by logging into ups.com and enter your UPS tracking number, you can choose another address or another day. 

Collect from a UPS location, UPS Access Point (local business) or UPS Customer Centre

Please note UPS will make up to 3 attempts, before returning to sender. 

 

Royal Mail | The Process

Once your order has been successfully completed and is ready to be sent you will receive a non-automated email from us confirming the successful dispatch of your parcel(s).

Royal Mail postal service will then deliver your parcel via your local postal service. For UK, this is usually Next Day by 1pm via tracked & signed method, For Europe, this is reliant on your local postal service and Worldwide and Rest of World can take 7-10 working days *up to 3 weeks. Please note that the tracked at every point service is only valid for UK customers. We strongly advise should you wish express delivery an alternative courier is selected. We understand that for some areas, Royal Mail is the preferred choice as a reliable service.


If there is no response when Royal Mail try to deliver your parcel, a card will be left giving you the option to re-arrange collection or collect from your local post office. They will make no re-attempts to deliver your parcel. You should wait at least 24 hours before arranging collection.

Please note due to legal reasons, we are unable to send any items as a gift and all items and amounts paid will be declared when being posted via Royal Mail service.

Security and Liability

Our couriers ensure that your goods are correctly signed for thus ensuring that your parcel is in safe hands. Olivia May does not accept liability for any delivery instructions issued to the delivery company by the customer. If you leave instructions requesting a parcel to be left in a location (e.g shed, garage, neighbour etc) we cannot accept responsibility if you fail to receive your parcel.

If your order is returned to sender due to multiple unsuccessful delivery attempts, you will be liable to pay the return delivery charges to UK.

As a small business we are reliant on the DPD, DHL & Royal Mail postal services. We do our upmost to ensure the above methods and timings are met.

Your purchase is insured if your parcel is lost/damaged/stolen whilst in transit and under the care of the couriers. Once the parcel is signed for then it is no longer covered under this agreement and the responsibility of the parcel and its contents falls to the recipient that signed.

To avoid delays to your order, please ensure that your billing address matches the address on your card statement and that the card holder's name is written as it appears on the card. Please ensure that your contact details are filled in accurately so that we can contact you if necessary.

Payment By Credit Card

If you request delivery to an address other than the credit card statement address we reserve the right to delay or cancel despatch unless the delivery address can be verified. Our secure credit card processor does not disclose credit card or personal details to us.

Order Cancellation

You have the right to cancel your order. Should you wish to cancel your order for any item purchased on this website, please notify us as soon as possible via email ann@oliviamay.org. On an occasion whereby your order has already been dispatched please refer to our Returns Policy below.

If you make a purchase that qualifies for a discount and you wish to return or cancel the item, you will receive a refund that includes the discount originally given. If you make a number of purchases and return one or some of the items, the discount will be a pro rata percentage of the discount originally given, based on the cost of the item(s).
